Mar. 5th, 2007 @ 08:38 am My new toy
Well after a long wait and plenty of searching I got my FC today. Had to rent a trailer from u-haul and drove 4 hours to Ft Lauderdale to pick her up. Left the house at about 9 w/ the trailer and got back home at about 8. Not bad, but well worth it. On w/ the details.

1987.5 Nobel White FC3S
-123,000 miles on the body
-30k miles on the rebuilt motor: Motor was rebuit as a hybrid using the S4 irons and the S5 rotors which are lighter and give a higher compression.
-Only a few imperfections on the body but looks fantastic for being a 20 year old car.
-Brand new Toyo Tires
-Interior is also superb for a 20 year old car
-Fuel cut off switch
-All the electronics work, including the stock radio lol
-A/c stuff has been removed (weight savings FTW!)
-I am only the 3rd owner of the car.

The Bad:
-Sunroof is siezed, easy fix.
-Top engine stud for the water pump broke of allowing it to weep coolant(car was never overheated and was promptly parked once this problem arrose), also an easy fix.

For only paying $500.00 for the car I think I did quite well given i didnt want a garage queen since this will be my Auto-x car.

When we got there the owner had to jump it because it had been sitting for a couple of months, after that, it started right up and sounded great. Drove great too. BUT after the 5 hour car ride home I went to start it on the trailer and the battery was dead and the engine flooded LOL gotta love the 13b....

Im sure I'll remember more but here are the pics I took when I got home, I'll get some daytime shots:

My birthday yesterday was very good :) Had a nice dinner my dad prepared for all of us and he even made some yummy bread pudding. The best by far was the surprise that Jennifer and my dad both went in on together to get for me, My new grill!!!!

I found this grill a while ago and have wanted it since. I like charcoal more than propane so its the perfect grill :)

I love it! I get to put it together tonight!

To the woman who understands me more than any other person in this world, I love you.
You want me to be what you know I am capable of.
You have nothing but faith in my abilities.
You always want whats best for me, for us.
You want me to have the things I want and would do anything to get them for me.
You are interested in the things I like because you know that makes me happy.
You are a good "mommy" :)
You are my best friend.
I love you.

Feb. 20th, 2007 @ 01:54 pm Im so weird.
Driving Mood: weirdweird
I realized something today as I was walking back into work from the parking lot after returning from lunch...I am really anal when it comes to what goes in which pockets in my pants/shorts/whatever. I've noticed myself doing it before but today i was just like "WTF? WHY?" lol.

What the problem is, anytime I get out of the car, my RAZR cellphone HAS to go into my left pocket and my keys HAVE to go into my right pocket. I accidently switched it today and realized it as I was dropping my keys into my left pocket after I had already dropped my cell into the wrong pocket. I caught myself and thought "Taylor, dont be a tard, put the keys in the pocket" and as soon as I did all I could think was "No, this doesnt feel right" and had to go digging and do a switcher-roo while walking...WTF? I mean common....its just pockets, right?

Feb. 16th, 2007 @ 12:13 pm What Sports car are you?
Take this test!

I'm a Chevrolet Corvette!

You're a classic - powerful, athletic, and competitive. You're all about winning the race and getting the job done. While you have a practical everyday side, you get wild when anyone pushes your pedal. You hate to lose, but you hardly ever do.

Take the Which Sports Car Are You? quiz.

So I am a big memeber on mazdas247.com and chat with tons of people all the time. There is a member on the forums who has posted in the past some clay projects he has done. The talent this guy has w/ clay is amazing. He's done plates of sushi and several other things which he makes for his wife. About a year ago I asked him if he would make me a clay model of Kenji (we didnt have savanna at the time) and he agreed, but said he was really busy and it might take a while. So we come to today, I had pretty much forgot about it and then I see a message from him that he had completed it, and I am completely amazed :) He's mailing them to me now hehe

Here they are!Collapse )
Feb. 15th, 2007 @ 11:48 am Savanna loves TV
So the other night Jen and I were flipping channels while Kenji was laying next to me and Savanna was climbing on us. We then flipped it to the 07 Wesminster Dog Show and it caught Savanna's eye. She perked up when she saw doggies running across the TV and she was hooked. She got off the couch and walked up to the TV and sat down and proceeded to watch TV for almost a full 30 mins. Every once in a while she would walk up to the TV and stand up on the TV console to get a closer look but she would then return back to the floor and continue watching. We didnt have the camera that night so when the next night of the dog show came on we were ready...and sure enough, she was engrossed in it again and we got some pics of her. I swear, it reminds me of a little kid sitting Indian style in front of the TV watching cartoons.

On w/ the pics!Collapse )

I love Craigslist.org... Its pure entertainment. Occasionally you can find some neat stuff on there but 90% of the time its just sad yet humorous. I mean look at this crap posted in the "free" section:

Half a Box of Lemon Cascade

Lol a half a box of dish detergent? Really? LOL Who in their right mind is gonna burn up $5 in gas to get $1 worth of free dish detergent?!?!

Tattoo magazine and map

Oh well thank god! That magazine will come in handy on my trip up to Maryland w/ my new free map!!! Sweet!!!

And finally this poster:

For the House

Aused back scratcher and other random junk?!?! Who wants a back scratcher that some dude could have had buried halfway up his ass?!

Seriously...just throw this shit away....does no one have a garbage can anymore?

Feb. 6th, 2007 @ 04:05 pm Not weirded out
Jen likes to ask me often if I get weirded out or think it's weird that "I have a wife". All I can say is that it doesnt weird me out one bit :) I have loved every moment so far of "having a wife" even the fights. I dont think it weird at all. I couldnt have chosen a better woman to be my wife. There isn't anyone out there that can understand me better than her or who can put up w/ my "big kid" wants and actions haha.

I love saying that I have a wife :) it makes me feel important and loved. I guess saying that I have a wife means that I have a beautiful woman in my life that loves me enough to want to spend their entire life with me and that couldnt more spectacular.

So no, its not weird at all :P
